Default Throttle hold - cyclic locked?

My Swift 16 crashed while on the ground. Broke the center rotor hub, scrapped the blade tips which I covered them with some tape. This is my second Beastx.

Throttle hold after landing .... tip over. Noticed the cyclic was tilted to one side. I was able to duplicate this on the bench by moving the heli L/R, nose up/down, hit throttle hold ...... the cyclic will be tilted to one side depending on the moment throttle hold is turned on.

It will lock at the position, although I can apply cyclic input but it will not return to level position afterward. I release throttle hold, give cyclic input and it returns to level position in a few seconds.

Does anyone experience this or it happens to me strangely. I could come to this explanation which is the locked tilted position is caused the Swift 16 chicken dance signature during spooling down. The chicken dance caused the gyro to react, when I hit throttle hold it locks at that position. However, shouldn't it return to level position afterward?

Never mind ..... my fault. Just check throttle hold and found sub-trim was there.

sidney,

That was a bummer. But glad you found the problem and posted about it.

Indeed, a bummer. It shows how easy to screw things up.

Thank you for posting the truth about it. I think a lot of the bad rep on these newer FBL systems is un-admitted user error.

This is a great reminder of what sub-trim does to the 3 axis gyro.
