Default 6mm taill upgrade parts

I've recently acquired 2 used X7F formula kits, and one of them appeared to have the 6mm tail shaft (no tapered ends). I have ordered the new M4 hub to be fitted.

But my 2nd one have the older tapered end tail shaft for 5mm hub, and I would like to upgrade this to the newer 6mm shaft.

Can you guys confirm what are the parts i need for the upgrade?
Do i only need the 6mm tail shaft + the matching Bevel gear set? I.e. the part in the link below

The tail shaft and the 6mm x 4mm tail hub are all you really need. Your existing bevel gears will work unless they are worn out or chewed up. All you will need to do is punch out the retaining pin, remove the old tail shaft and insert the new tail shaft.

With the new tail hub, there will be new bushings and shims, but the instructions are included for the assembly. One issue you might find is that when you insert the screws through the new bushings to attach them to grip arms, they might start binding up.

Some have said theirs worked and some (like me) had them bind up. I ended up having to remove .5mm off the flanged end of the bushing to get rid of the binding.

Good luck.

Before you "punch out" that retaining pin, loosen the 1.5 mm retaining screw that's located in the hole in the end of the shaft and it will come out much easier! Check this out:

Thanks guys, looks like I already have the parts for the conversion in hand . Just need the 6mm shaft and the optional M4 Tail hub upgrade.

Thanks for the heads up on the set screw as well, i might have broken the gear through trying the get the pin out
