It looks like they will no longer be supported....

Already lots of parts that are not in stock. The word is that unless the parts are backordered from a shop they are not going to stock the parts anymore. So it looks like they will die out.

Are you talking about amain no longer stocking them or CYE?

I think we've known they were dissapearing for quite a while.

Curtis Youngblood Hobbies not stocking parts unless there is a demand from a dealer.

Quote from other site.

QUOTE. I talked to Brian on Friday about parts availability. From the way it sounds restock parts won't be ordered unless there is a back order demand for them. With Europe and the US distributors dropping off from carrying the CYE models this back order demand will dry up. We have no way of placing an item in cart on back order at CYE Hobbies so it looks like a lose lose situation for us getting out of stock parts back in. The only solution I see at the moment is for all of us ENV/Ballistic owners to send Curtis an email at CYE with parts we are in need of and show him there is still a large number of us flying his helis.

So... The end. If CYE aren't ordering them, they must not be selling much either. And CYE Rave helis would seem to be no more.

I guess I'll wait and see if there's a big sale of spares here in the UK of the stock that's left and try and stock up. Although looking at it right now the usual booms, supports, main and feathering shafts are already out of stock everywhere.

I am concerned but don't think it is time to go into full panic mode yet, we need to ask some more questions, do a little more research. Me personally would like to hear Curtis' thoughts on the future of the ENV and Ballistic.

I would like to hear it from Cutis as well but it doesn't look good.

It's sad to see them go TBH. The 450 looks weedy next to the new contenders, and it always had issues with eating gears. The Ballistic and ENV though are fantastic helis, they just stopped being 'cool' and then it would seem Curtis moved on and lost interest.

Fly it !!!! Enjoy it. If you crack it up take out the electronics and figure it out from there.

I am going to fly mine. I have a pretty good stock of spare parts so I should be able to keep them in the air for awhile yet.

I think they are very "cool"

A friend talked to Dan and he said none of the above. But Brian would know..........Man...........chit.

Well, they are certainly not entry level heli's, with good electronics I have 3K in each of mine. Also in my case I haven't wrecked one (knock on wood) in over a year, the parts seem to last for ever, so I can see why sales may be down. Other than the 635 kits AMain had a while back that Ken told us about I haven't had to buy any parts. I've done nothing to mine except oil bearings, check screw tightness and clean off bug juice.

Keep them out of the dirt gentlemen.

I think it is totally irresponsible for a company that is still in business to create and produce a product of this type and then stop producing parts. These products are not that old. I always had a lot of respect for Curtis Youngblood and his position in this hobby. This situation certainly causes me to question the man's character and integrity. I hope he will make things right for the customers from whom he has benefited over the years.

OK so I sent an email through the contact form on the CYE website. Asking about the talk of stocks not being ordered.

Just had an email from Dan Wilkerson ( Operations Manager ) Saying they are just rumors and they will continue to support their product lines.

The mystery deepens.

Pete,That's what I meant when I posted about what Dan told a friend. However, you stated it much better than I did. Hope it is just a rumor.

But still.......keep them out of the dirt gentlemen!

I did suggest maybe he, or someone from CYE, should come on HF to make some kind of official statement to reflect the real picture. Sadly the reply suggested that isn't going to happen.

I believe that as long as there is a demand for the parts and we are not silent about it Curtis would continue to support the product. We need to figure out how to get the out of stock parts reordered.
