Default Take Caution

I wanted to post this tonight. I spoke to our good friend Bryan, (rovpilot26) tonight, he informed me that he was involved in a hit & run accident. He was hit while walking in a parking lot by a driver that was obviously in a hurry and not paying attention.

He does not have any broken bones, but suffered some torn ligaments in his knee, and is down and out in a leg immobilizer.

Being the observant police officer that he is, he was able to get a license plate number and was able to leave a hand print on the vehicle for id purposes. The driver was aware that he hit Bryan, as he said, "It was an accident..." and took off.

So, lets all give our good friend some Heli Freak love. Take care my Brother from another mother...

Thank you Bryan!

Fellas it only takes a split second for your life to change. I didn't figure that the guy would stand on the gas while he was backing up, but he did. Don't think that people pay attention, it can seriously ruin your day.

Luckily I will recover, but looking back it could have been a lot worse!

Being a cyclist I have been hit a few times, you learn quickly to never trust anyone driving a car your not in. Every time I was hit the driver was either distracted by their cell phone or intoxicated. Luckily the worst I suffered was a large haematoma on my thigh.

Being injured is never fun, heal up quickly.

As someone that had had ligament injuries, broken bones, torn cartilages, and various combinations of them all together, the knee was easiest to recover from and deal with while healing. Arms, shoulders, and ribs are much worse to deal with while healing. I still have problems with my shoulder 4 years after the fact, but I really messed it up. I broke it, dislocated it and tore the rotator cuff all at the same time. I have had surgery on both of my knees I was up and walking around the first night for one and within a week for the other. The biggest advise that can be given is to follow your doctors orders to the letter, same thing goes with your physiotherapist. You will heal much faster and and stronger

We need to send out more Heli Freak Love to Mrs. rovpilot26. She was involved in a car accident the other day, suffering some injuries, none life threatening, but injuries none the less.

Take care and Happy Mothers Day Mrs. rovpilot26. We all wish you well.

I saw Rov and Mrs. Rov today. Both are recovering and should be back to their normal selves soon. I can't wait for Bryan to come back to the field, he is missed.
