Default mCPx Power loss

Hey guys,

Can't seem to find anything about my issue. When flying when I give it full throttle and the motor turns off and everything works still and is lit up still. Any help would be great!

Sounds like LVC. Low voltage cutoff. 1st how old are your batteries? 2nd how old is the main motor?

Sounds to Me like an issue I've had before...

Run the heli at 40-60% throttle with no main blades (hold it with one hand) for 2 batteries at 4 minutes each...

Then see if your problem persists

They are brand new batteries motor is still strong.

I tried the two batteries at 50% and ran at least for 4 mins.

Any other input would be great!

What version 3n1 board do you have? Original board and motor?

I guess a better way to approach that would be to explain "why" you might want to do that or "what" exactly it achieves. I'll admit that it sounds a little crazy. But hey, I've seen crazy things work sometimes.

The why is really not easy to explain...but I've had a very similar issue with new V2 boards coupled with new stock motors...and the method I outlined solved the problem...several times

My opinion? Break-in period...especially if it's not been flown in months or there are new components

JonJet thanks for the help! It looks like it fixed the problem.

What is your best advice to get rid of tail blow out? Is it the tail motor? Battery?

The best way to end tail blowout is to upgrade to at last a 7mm tail...I've done several dozen and not one of them has the problem anymore

Do I need to do any modification on the board at all?

My issue sounds like it may be related though it is somewhat different. I have two MCPx V2's. On each, with a fresh battery, the heli is almost unable to lift off the ground even at full throttle. On one, I had a similar problem, replaced the board, and it was great until after a few flights, I smacked it into the ground. Afterwards, it was doing the same thing. It will go for a few minutes on a battery and the blue light stays on solid. On the other, it will spool up, will barely lift off and within a few seconds, it settles back to the ground and the blue light is blinking.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jack Cutrone

First guess is the battery, but if you've tried a new one, that would lead Me to expect the power cable...the stock one is very cheesy...try a decent power lead with about 4" of wire so you can route it away from the left servo, and that may solve your problem

Agree on the power cables.
They will slowly break the strands until there are only 5 or 6 strands trying to carry all that current. Carefully remove that rubbery coating around the wires where they connect to the board. I'll bet you find about half the strands broken.
