Hi Antony
I'm thinking you mean a 3 axis gyro, or FBL controller. From what I've read, they can't practically be used with a flybarred head as you get control interactions between the flybar and the controller. As with all things, people have tried, and no doubt some will have succeeded to an extent, but probably only by turning the main rotor gain way down, so that the stabalisation is really still coming from the flybar. That being the case, what's the point, you might as well just use a tail gyro anyway. That having been said, you don't necessarily have to buy a flybarless head to do away with the flybar. My 600 is still flying with my own modified set-up. Recently I converted it to DTS, and improved it a little, but it was pretty good to begin with. I also switched it from the MicroBeast controller to the Spartan VX1e, so maybe the improvement was primarily as a result of the new controller. Resolution of the head, or granularity of control for the FBL unit, which is the tricky thing to achieve when you mod your own head, was reasonably good. I expect you could also get it good enough with the 450. Cheers Sutty
