Default So here it goes! 1ST flight today :( BOO!!!!

So here we go, I flew my Velocity 90 all day last Saturday (almost a whole gallon of fuel through it this day) with not a single issue. The weather was around 75-80 degrees sunny and beautiful. Today it was between 40-50 degrees sunny and slight breeze. So I'm the first one up in the air for today in the virgin sky. I left my canopy off for tuning purposes being it cooler weather + I had moved a few of my pot gains on my MicrobeastX. Any way around 1:30 in to my flight I start to hear a gear train noise! I'm thinking S.O.B. No! Not me to!!! So I was able to fly it back to me and land it upon inspection. On one side of my main gear there were 4-6 teeth gone I rotated my main gear to find on the other side 1-3 gear teeth gone Grrrrrrrrr! I was pissed but from reading these forums, I was not really surprised. So what can I do about it? I have no more spares, I had just got to the field and I was ridding with a friend. What was I going to do for the rest of the day? Thank fully the guy's I fly with around here at least some of them are nice. So I got to fly O.P.S. for the most of the day mostly planks. (boring lol) This is my answer to my problem I just ordered this main gear: http://helidirect.com/sa00072a-outra...90-p-25528.hdx My hope is that it will prevent this from happening in the future. Does any one have any thing to say about this gear? I think my stock gear stripping might have had some thing to do with the cold weather? As it was fine all day when it was between 75-&-80 deg today it was around 40 and my Velocity 90 was in the back of a truck bed doing 70+MPH down a high way on the way to the field today. I know it was cold. This might be why it stripped? IDK, I just hope this don't happen again unless of course I'm crashing or some thing that justifies it.

I was going to suggest the CNC gear, but I see you already found it! :-) It is very robust. Mine has survived a crash!

Well? It seems do to the storm on the east coast there is a delay in shipping. I ordered this main gear last Saturday. So? No telling when It will be here So my Advise if you guys are ordering from Heli Direct right now or any where on the east coast for that matter? You might want to reconsider seeing as how this should had been here last Wednesday, I think...? This sucks! I know it's a bad deal what happened out there in NYC but, I ordered it before the damn storm even hit! That's what gets at me the most. All I can say is it would be nice as long as it gets here before this weekend.... I'm sorry if you got damaged in the storm BTW! L8ter guy's.
