Default Skookum 720 mounting foam.

Does anyone know what foam Skookum supply with their mounting kits? I am after the thicker grey foam. I am sick of having to buy a complete mounting kit whenever I need to remount the gyro. I have tried other brands of foam, but haven't found anything that gives me the reduction in vibrations that the mounting kit tape does.

The Scotch brand outdoor tape works. It has a red peel. The adhesive tape is gray.

Thats way too thin and rigid for the 720 for self leveling capability. Great for the 540 or rigid mounting the 720. I use it for the FBL mounting to the metal plate, but he is talking about the thick, dense gray foam strips that come with the 720.

Align blue PU gel is a good alternative. Its more rigid than the thicker Zeal gel, and reduces vibes as good as the thick foam, at least it did for me when I used it.
