Default Frustrated

Brought my Logo600 with me while back home for vacation.
Flew this bird for bout 100 s of flights trouble free.
Once back home, put it together, did the first flight and smashed her on the ground due to some kind of power failure. Mains, boom, top bearings, linkages and 2 servos gone.
Ordered spares, re build her, and put one flight. All well, excited that she s finally back!
The second flight while doing piro flips, the tail pitch slider gave up and smashed her again.
Blades, boom, one cyclic servo, skids, belt, main gear, fbl linkages, cyclic linkages, and last but not least, left frame. The groove where the skids are bolt in have been snapped out meaning both frames have to be re placed.
Now, what should I do? I feel so frustrated, like in life, there are times when everything seems to go on the wrong way.
I put her back on the closet, while keep flying my old but good Protos.
Sorry for the rant but have to find a good reason to put her back again.

Ah, it's painful isn't it. Give it a bit of time & have another look at it, then fix it. Nothing much compares to flying a Logo 600!

Ouch,

I was hurting after crashing my Compass 6HVU into a tree, was a very hard hit but didn't do quite that much damage, the thing is a tank though.

Step away for a bit, rebuild as funds can see fit, ensure its solid and fly away.

That sucks that it was mechanical failures twice! is it a known design flaw?

Sorry to hear about the mishaps. I did almost the exact same thing with my Logo 500 several years ago.

When you are ready to rebuild, take your time and triple check EVERYTHING... Then, for the first 1-2 flights, take it easy (no extreme maneuvers) so that if there's any issues, you'll have a better chance of saving it with an auto.

I think I will take my time, to think what should I do...why not getting the 690.....just to try something else!

Jokes apart, will start tomorrow to see what's left on my spares box then making a decision.

i have a logo 600sx. logos are great to fly, but, to me, are very fragile generally speaking when compared to other helis. every crash i had, the frames were seriously damaged. they are very hard to replace. you need to dismantle the entire thing and put everything together again.
is the experience of flying a logo that special? i have a trex 700 dfc and need to say it is just magical.

IMO Logo are just magical to fly that's why I am frustrated.love this model even though I have a 7HV and a P500 stretched.

A had several hard crashed with it, but never get to break the frame.Had bad crashed in the past 2 weeks and not even the fathering shaft has bent. They are strong IMO, I have to replace the frame just because the little grove where the landing gear get fix are broken.Other than that no frame damage.
Maybe a time to get the cart filled up?

i don't use bolts to secure the skids anymore. i zip-tie them and it works good.
what hs are you running on your logo 600? which tail hub do you run? the 5mm one?

how frequently do you fly 2100rpm? i'm afraid of going above 2000 and have a structural failure.

95% of the time for hundreds of flights. Is not a SE version.

I like 2000 alot on my 6HVU but many people fly it well above 2400 for insane power. Can the logo not handle those speeds?

2400 no way IMO
Logo 600 sweet spot is 2100,2150...for what I know most fly 3D at this HS.
I enjoyed the SE version flying at 1400-1500-1600 though.

At 2150 the Logo 600 has insane power then if you want more, well is your call but all the stress put on the mechanics will increase chance of failure.
In my case, is not the HS that cause the crash due to pitch failure. Probably something wrong from the previous crash that I overlooked.

With 600-620 main blades, it can handle that headspeeds. Bearings are more than up to task. I will try 640mm main blades when I have.

I am not talking bat the sx, considering the OT was about the stock 600.
I a was flying 620mains, at 2100,2150 and have to say, more then buff for me.

Regarding the SX version, I have no idea bout the max HS.
