I hope you find a set soon. I have extra but I love the g5 too much to give them up. Sorry

Honestly I looked at the Beam tail and while it may use better bearings it looks like the exact same design as the Trex tail. The smaller outer bearing is not supported on the Align and they keep failing on me and others.

heh there is some irony here.

If I recall the Outrage tail grips were breaking down do to the high rpms people were subjecting them to on the g5.

Mind you the gearing ratio is different on the align 450 so It is prob not a factor in this case.

You may want to reconsider the beam one.

Look at this video!

I use the g5 tail on my custom stretch 450 however due to the horror stories about stock g5 grips coming apart at high tail speed I use the trex pro 450 tail grips and hub with the integrated chinese weights. No problems yet and I run a 5 to1 tail gear ratio. The problem is you will need to use a small washer or 2 on each grip to slider pitch arm to space them correctly so they do not bind. On the other hand I once crahed and had to put the stock g5 grips and hub on for a while and they held the high rpm tail ratio just fine so probably just an improvement in bearings. Take a look at the minititan v2 tail grips and hub also as that tail from cnc heli looks identical to a g5 tail assembly. The difference being that the tail case center is bored for a 14mm od boom but every thing else looks identical. The outrage g5 tail is the hot swap for trex owners and beam owners. Sure wish someone would get off their butt and provide these things as eveyone and their brother wants one.
