Charliedontsurf,
I'm in central Jersey, North Brunswick. I see your down the shore, you make out ok from Sandy? What town you in? We fly a field in East Brunswick, about 35 min from long branch/ asbury area. Your gonna love your Mini! Once you get off the clones and fly a well made machine your notice a difference. The real connected feel of a precision heli is awesome! If you near and want to come up shoot me a pm w/#

Quite the opposite actually, running a motor with fewer cells usually reduces the peak power output of the motor (current limited). But it might be more efficient at lower loads (magnetic losses in stator are proportional to RPM).
Mini P motors generally run hot if you push the heli hard, since they are a little less capable than the same motor in a heli with a higher gear ratio.

Well great, got all my servo's, motor, long motor shaft, ESC, FBL unit, all bench-tested the stuff, ordered a few extra lipo's and even got approval from the wife for a purchase in around 2 or 3 months.........Now the kit is nowhere to be found anymore in the Netherlands! Its been taken off the website i had bookmarked, and the nearest place to get one is in Germany.
$10 shipping from Germany is not bad, but makes me wonder if switching to MSH brand is a wise choice for the future. I dont tend to crash a lot anymore but it would hurt if stuff gets discontinued. Am i the only one getting a bad feeling about the brand? I would just love to fly a belt-driven heli. The warp 360 is not really appealing to me. I like to stick to my 3s packs and 325mm blades.

MSH direct is Euro 210 + shipping, add taxes and handling (Euro 50) because its shipped from the US, makes it around E300. can get it from Germany for 240 shipped.

Spoofy,
I have found spares easy to find generally (in the UK), but have bought stuff from Hobbymaniac in NL when I couldn't find something anywhere else - it may have been for my Protos. BTW Freakware have the M-P for €224.90 Mike |

I had a thought even with the tax it would even out but obviously not.
We don't get taxed here in general for small parcels (or as Ross has corrected me, on stuff >$1000). If you must know parts can be a problem sometimes, I live practically beside the local msh distributor but they are at the mercy of the supply chain further up... then held at customs and all kinds of silly red tape beyond their control. That's why I have actually had to order msh stuff from various locations as diverse as yes, even freakware and pay the shipping. But eventually the parts do come. Have 2 mini's (soon to be joined by a third, time permitting the build) and one 500 (just recently airborne) and probably will add another 500 for redundancy. Whenever those kits come in... I think I am rationalising my fleet down just to mini protoses and protoses for now.. And the blade submicro stuff I fly in the house / sidestreet. I think that's more than enough.
