Default DX7 Mode 1 or Mode 2

Yes...im new. Looking to buy a radio and dont know if I need Mode 1 or 2 or if mode 2 does both. Any help out there? PS...I want to use the radio with a SIM to get started...

Mode 2 which is primarily used here in the US has the throttle on the left stick, whereas mode 1 has it on the right stick.
