Actually if you have v1 all you need is the boom and belt. The 800 conversion kit comes with boom supports and tail pushrod that you don't need. $36 for boom and belt vs $50 for the 800 conversion.

But the v2 800 boom is only 2mm longer than v1 800 boom so its probably possible to use it on v2. I didn't actually try it myself though, I used a v2 800 boom when I went to v2. It could be that tail belt adjustment would be maxed out with v1 800 boom.
