Default 550L loss of power

i was hovering the heli after having it looked over running stock everything except for the fbl (ar7200bx). about 10' up and the power cuts out not all the way but like the battery dumped so i set it down . checking the battery on the charger (4010) it showed 4.18 on each cell so i know the battery was charged. i brought it in and ordered the pheonix edge 75 to replace it . along with the wires to adjust its settings... has anyone had or can offer me any advice on the castle esc its my first one for a heli and it will be my first one to set up

Did you still have cyclic control? If not, then you may have lost signal, if you did have control, then you could have a problem with your motor connections.

i had cyclic response and tail responce. it just dropped power, the motor leads are secure the everything is new. running deans plugs soldered correctly. Ive used deans for almost 30 years and have a hakko soldering iron and im pretty proficient in my soldering. could it be in the inside of the motor or possibly the esc maybe ... if it does it again i will replace with a kde motor or xnova or maybe even a vertigo from castle. i am however thinking about going to ec5 just in case its surging too much current through the deans plugs... which i dont really want to do.... i will spool it up again once the the rain stops ... also my level of flying if you want to call it that is just basic hovering and thats it right now

the motor didnt lose all power but most of it it would hold hover but wouldnt climb out once the power drop you could hear the the drop in power ... running eco power 6s 3300 new every thing is new

Does your ESC do data logging? That will show if it reached LVC for some reason. I've had that happen due to cold temps, but would be surprised if that were the case, since it hasn't been THAT cold recently.

You may also want to check that your OWB is not slipping in the hub. That will also appear as a loss of power.

I will check that as soon as I get home. I dont know if it does logging but the edge 75 that will be here Wednesday should, and it will be upgraded just in case.
