Default Neu Protron 12x30mm

Anyone tried these?

I saw a few threads that they are using them as tail motors on CPP's and they perform better than the hyperion 12mm motors.

Thinking about trying a 7300Kv myself. Running an HP08-3 7500Kv right now, but am intrigued by the smoothness of inrunners

Is it 2 or 3 cell? I'm curious to find out how good they are. I might pick one up too if you can get it to mount in a v120 or m120 frame.

2s. It's going on an Xtreme frame. I see no reason it would fit any differant than the Hyperion. In fact I think it will be better because it has a longer shaft than the Hyperion.

Hmm, I may have to give it a try sooner then later. My y12 in the xtreme frame fit's just perfect. Any wider and it would hit the front support bar and sit at an angle. But do wish the shaft was longer. My pinion is just shy of being flush from the end of the shaft, and I question if I put enough green thread loc on it.

The higher Kv will be to my advantage than as well, smaller pinion= more room between the motor and brace. I mounted my stock inrunner to see if I could clean up my wires and it works, looks so much better.

Post some pics of it. I'll post some of mine when i get home. I think the wiring is pretty clean, but still need to shorten my satellite wire.

Nice job... how come you went BA cyclics but stock tail?

Here's a few shots of mine. Had a tail issue vibrating really bad. So it's either a bad tail servo, or I need to mount the beastx better. I'm going to play with it more this weekend.

I had, have a BA for the tail, but like you I was fighting a tail issue and had a new stock tail servo to try so I did. Still had a wag, I think it was my poor balance job on the HP08, heli would shimmey around with out even having the pinion engauging the main gear. Waiting for the Neu motor before I can procede.

Is that a Hyperion 2s 320 pack on yours? I have 20c HK 350's but of the four, only one still feels powerful, and they wont fit in my Xtreme skids.

Yeah that's the battery. I got it from Jeff at rchelicanada. Works and fits perfect. I'm going to order several more and get rid of my older batteries. I'll let you know if I can make any progress on the BA tail. I really think it's my beastx and too many vibrations. Even if I touch the heli with a finger the tail is jittering all over the place, even worse on spool up.

btw... I just got my wow 12g motor in today. I just took it up for a hover in my m120. Good power. No bogging on pitch pumps, but the heli also has moderate vibration issues, with slight TBE. But I'm going to put the beastx in the picture on the m120 w/ stock servos since snemi soldered on the walkera servo connectors. Putting a different beast on the v120 without the adapter. Hope I have enough time this weekend to finish... also got my mcpx tail parts in, so trying to get that stable without any tail blowouts. I can't even invert the thing at the moment my tail is so bad.

I might have another go at balancing my HP08. The 120 is down till I get this motor smooth or the Neu shows up.

My tail motor stopped on my mCPX yesterday and I thought it was odd that it died with no warning between flights, it had just unplugged Easy fix!

I just recieved another uRondo form Laser 22 today so I have a Robbe Eolo(500 class) to convert to FBL this weekend.

Have fun... keep everyone posted about that motor if you get one. I'll post back if I make some progress on the tail servo. I know everyone says that some are just DOA or don't work. So keeping that in mind, but I do have a second one to try.

The motor is on it's way, I just forgot monday is a holiday,DHOO!!!

I have 2 BA3010's, a BA3013,and 4 BA5010's, all working. I did get 2 junk 3010's jittered until they melted

Will keep this thread updated once the motor arrives.

Just about done upgrading my fourth heli to FBL, TX died durring the setup. The uRondo really cleaned up the wiring on this one, and it's smaller than the CSM SL720 it replaced

Proton arrived, shame on Neu for not having the requiered 0-80 mounting screws in the package.

Had to slightly mod the Xtreme frame also. Had to widen the keyhole slot in the motor mount area to accept the bearing snout on the Neu.

Guess I better get to the hardware store to see if I can find the 0-80 screws

I had to use trex250 screws on the hyperion motor. Didn't need to dremel the frame to fit it, but it did push part of the soft aluminum out of shape to get it to fit.

Pics with the Neu ready to rock! About the same size as the Hyperion by the looks of it.

Nice. Let me know how the tail behaves. I just lost my second BA 5010 tonight. Now it just twitches like a dying bug. Putting the stock one back on and soldering on a diode. My last attempt at making it work before I shelve it and work on the m120.

Hi,

I assume this is a 2S setup. What batteries are you using?

Regards, Ojo
