It's not paint. It's anodized aluminum

JR Module plot actually thickens... LOL!

http://www.flytron.com/openlrs/123-f...e-adapter.html

And bang! That little number allows any JR module radio to use both JR and Futaba style modules. (Just pops in and alters the pinout as expected by the Futaba module which is slightly smaller, and will fit in the same opening.)

Well lots of pages and various discussions here but still no answer on what the difference (aside from paint, carbon plate, black buttons and unknown software features enabled by default) between the BK Edition and the DS14 Basic.

Can Jeti USA not weigh in on this with a simple comparison chart? Just add the BK edition to your existing chart.

Getting more interested in Jeti for Helis due to the flybarless integration but all this, I'll use the word Secrecy or Uncertainty, on the differences is rather discouraging.

Thanks

I have been told that the Jeti DS-14 BK edition has the exact same software feature set as the Jeti DS-14 basic. No more / no less.

The difference is the throttle stick ratchet in the DS-14 basic has been replace with a smooth throttle/ collective in the DS-14 BK edition and a better quality automotive paint.

Where the BK ds14 comes only with the same features as the basic ds14, but with the "special graphics" on the face plate and a special blue color.

For the same price you can get the diablo edition, only it's yellow and has just a plain CF face plate. But it comes with a smooth throttle stick, but also comes upgraded with 6 flight modes and 3 gyro settings already included,,,

Just sayin

The BK is a Standard basic DS14 with carbon and painted face plate, and blue painted aluminum body and the throttle stick has the same mod as god Diablo. (Ratchet has been removed, and tension applied to make the throttle even with other sticks)

Comes with the usuals:
Case, charger, and USB (no Neckstrap)
Absolutely no additional software modules. It's all basic.

The Diablo has a push button for trainer switch, yellow paint, carbon faceplate, case, USB and charger plus Neckstrap and of course, it has the heli gyro and flight mode unlocks already.

Hope that helps

Sure would be nice to see one of these Jeti units next to another radio for size comparison, say a DX9. The Jeti looks massive, is that really the case? As well, comparing ergonomics and feel, I know it's subjective and so individual, but there hasn't been too much chatter about fit and feel, does anyone have any input?

Cheers

Steve

The jeti is not massive. It is similar in size to my taranis but just feels solid, almost like a swiss watch.

+1

Went from dx8 to xg8 to ds-14. Hands down the Jeti is the best feeling and made tx that I have held so far.

I'll snap a few pics, but I don't have a DX anything... Lol

I have a Devo 8S, my 9XR's, Taranis, and access to a DX5e.
