Chaos is nothing but piroflips at a continous fast rate.

Break it down and just have a look for the first half of it (the flip to inverted) and you have a
piroflip.

The slow motion video is very nice and showing the things pretty well.

This is incorrect, do a search there are several long threads about the difference. Most people piro flip, there are maybe 4-5 people on earth that can do a choas.

No that title of the video is labelled incorrectly, that is a prio flip in the vid.

Sure !
I have seen the long threads previously but havent paid them way too much attension. Still its pretty common (right or wrong) to call these sustained piro flips for chaos.

Since you seems pretty clear about the difference, please explain in simple words.

This video is titled kaos, but I can tell it is a piro flip by watching the video, the title is just wrong, easily done, half of it is in russian. a piro flip is a flip to inverted while pirouetting and then back to upright while pirouetting. But when your flipping to inverted, your seeing the bottom of the helicopter, and then when flipping back to upright your seeing the top of the helicopter,

A chaos is the same thing, but when your flipping you see the bottom, then the side, then the top, and then the other side. Its much harder, You can call it a messed up piroflip, where the timing is off, but your actually in control and on time.

learn it step by step...
first piroeting on the spot (try to hold it on 1 spot) upright, piroeting Inverted on the spot, half piro (left, right, away & toward) then the piroflip.....
that the steps (i guess...)

chaos = Piro flips where the axis of the flip is always chaning.

Piroflip = pirouetting flip along the same axis

If anyone has seen the DVD you'll see that Alan uses the term "Chaos" interchangeably with what we now call a "piro flip". That video is a few years old now, and I think the term has evolved since then into a more specific trick which is basically a tumbling piroflip.

Also make sure to check out the vids I made for that how-to thread:

Your best bet for seeing a Choas is looking at Curtis' vids.
