Default Build Tips and Tricks for the ECO

I am about to push the button on an ECO and would really appreciate if you guys out there had some building tips for me when it comes to engine installation. Hard mount or use the dampers. Does the Fan need balancing how to mount the magnets for the V-Bar Governor!
As i already have a Faifa for about 1,5 years i think i have the Tail section covered and the Head.
Anything special about the tank or the fuel line installation.
I flew a nitro Trex 700 for about 1,5 years so there is some experience about nitros!

How about CG with a 2s 3300 25C pack? To light?

Components will be:
S9255 on the head
BLS251 for the Tail
OS 91 HZ with a hatori Pipe
V-Bar with governor
Gryphon Vega with Mini Auto Booster and Pin switch
And a set of Rail Blades

Any coments will be appreciated

I'm not sure whether the S9255 servos will be working with the V-Bar...

Because the speed and torque are quite low, in comparison to servos used by other Srimok/ 700 size helicopter flyers.

Let me rephrase my previous post:
I might work, but not very well.

Sorry for the trick question but i fly these servos without any issues in a Trex 700 Nitro first with a fly bar and now for about a year and a half with the V-Bar! Of course i am no Maxwell or Dahl or Kamerrer!! But i am over the tail in stage! :-)

They holding good in Tick Tocks or sudden stops at full throttle or any sort of FFF with a power climbout dont know how to discribe this manuever! You come towards you inverted with som speed then you push up with some negative and throw in a piruette! It is so violent that you hear the engine losing speed especially at low RPM 1800 or so and the blades are farting like crazy! With my Faifa i managed to wreck a crown gear but this was because of a not tight enough gear mesh i am affraid to say!

Hey guys,

We were going through every detail of builing and setup with Gavin at our visit to the factory and wrote everything down ... we're trying filter the most important info and summarize it.
Hopefully we get some time over the weekend.

nothing really hard to deal with, just take care of engine alignment, gear mesh etc.

I would of course use the orings for the engine mount.

http://www.servocity.com/html/s9255.html

Oz-in is converted to kg.cm incorrectly.
6.8 should be 9.0

It's still a bit low, unless you're running 6V maybe?

Disregard my previous posts.

Good luck on the build!

@ Tim: you are probably right stronger and faster is always better but honestly i can't afford it right now to spend 500€ for an HV setup! So they will have to do and the did it already in my 700N. In My Faifa i fly BLS451 on the head with 5,2V from a kontronik Jive and they have only slightly more torque then the S9255s. I wanted always to try real Powerfull and fast servos like the BLS156HV or even the BLS157HV. Or to go overkill the JR8717HV but these things with a HV Tailservo and a HV for throttle are about 1000,- €. No way at the moment!! :-( I still need fuel to flay and Batts for my electric and these things cost money too!! ;-)

How is your Faifa flying after the maiden misshap??

Greetings from south west of Germany!
