Do you balance your blades? Lots of times mysterious problems with FBL are vibration based.

I balanced the whole head originally. I took the EXI 3dpro's off my 400 and tried them, they were smooth as well..only wobbled about every third pitch pump and not near as bad as before. The blades I had on it to start were the Yellow/black EXI's (I have two sets) and I tried the other pair on my 400 a week ago and even balanced it have a vibration. Tracking is spot on as well. I chock it up to shitty blades..

Can anyone please tell me if the Copterx 3X1000 Gyro get its power from connecting the ESC directly to the Gyro? Or does the ESC still connect to the Receiver and the Gyro is powered through the other cables that connect to the receiver?

Would it be better to plug the ESC into the Gyro so the power is more reliable for the servos? If so, how does the ESC then get the signal to run the motor?

You'd think a manual for a product would explain this detail, but obviously the think that its obvious enough they don't need to explain it!

Thanks.

Receiver still gets power from the esc, only servos and gyro gain go to the fbl unit and it takes it from there.

Got a problem fellas..
I was going to program some different settings in my Cx unit last nite and It wont link up. I done everything the same as I did the last 10 times, but for some reason it wont connect..all I get is a blue blinking light on my programming cable and the three red dots above the "connect" tab flash along with it like its trying to connect. Any ideas?

I uninstalled/reinstalled the software, uninstalled/reinstalled the usb driver, changed com ports around...nothin'.

Have you tried changing the sequence in which you do things? That did it for me. It has been a while so I forget the details, but it was something like connecting everything up like I usually did, it didn't link, then disconnecting the USB dongle and reconnecting it, and then it worked.

Did yours just blink the whole time like mine as well? I'll try a couple different things this evening. I was getting pretty frustrated with it last nite so Im not sure what ways I did try it.

Ahhhhhh...how I hate computers

I tried and tried for the last hour, finally I just uninstalled the fbl-biz software and downloaded the Copterx software, connected as soon as I hit the button. I guess its a firmware issue?

I like the biz software but my unit doesnt, looks like Im stuck with Cx's.

quick question once i run through the setup is there anything else i need to check for?

how do you check for +- pitch or does the setup with the gyro cover that?

I did a mechanical setup on mine without the fbl unit to get 0 at mid stick/servo arms @90, equal throw both directions. You will set pitch travel with the unit, so yes..you will use the software to set pitch.

did you have to mess with the Swash Travel and Collective Pitch Settings or did you leave them default?

The swash travel was fine on mine, I did back the collective down to lower pitch..it had some wicked tail blowout. Turns out my pitch was somewhere around 14-16 degrees at full throw, backed it down to around 6 till I could get it all smoothed out. I'll increase it before I go bottom-side up

Okay, so after a day of flying my fbl clone and my B400 I have officially came to the conclusion that flybars do indeed suck. I just placed my orders for a Tarot head and another CX unit. Hopefully by next weekend the ol' 400 will be swinging a little less hardware up top. There is absolutely no comparison on the way my B400 fly's vs my fbl 450...damn 400 fly's like a school bus with 3 flat tires.
