lol to tell you the truth i have alot more fun with the planes but no the trex isnt going anywhere nor is my Bee...the 120sr though may be going up soon as i never fly it anymore.

just picked up the new plane, now i understand what the hype is about balsa planes. this is bigger than the extra but about half the weight. i feel like i am going to break it transporting it. Not sure when i will work up the courage to actually fly it going to need to put alot more time in on the extra300 and get comfortable with that and mainly landing.

Default The foamy shop is opened!

Rain all weekend Grrrrr. No Heli for me!

But. I spent today re-arranging my shop. Totally cleaned the gargage. Set 6' ft of toolbench completely clear. Got a building board. 36" rule. 18" machinist rule, new square, new Exacto blades. Charged up the dremel. Got Gorilla glue, Loaded up the glue gun, got foam safe CNA. Carbon fibre. Depron foam. New Neon lights up above. Cleaned up the garage stereo.

Ordered a matching motor, esc, HXT 900 servo's, Control horns, Aileron tape, Ez- connetors, Servo mounts from DW Foamies.

Spending some time on the net reading about Foamy building and getting educated.

Need that 3D foamy to learn inverted and just plain putz around!

rain canceled any flying i was going to do this evening so i broke out the couple squares of depron i had and went at it, got further than i planed to. Just need to put the other elevon on, servo, rod and make some uprights for the rear. No idea how well its going to fly or if it will fly at all but it kept me busy for an evening lol.

not bad...i'd just be worried about the lack of wing area...i'd extend the rear section out a bit maybe..make a wider wing area....but with no vertical tailfin it may have some directional issue when you turn...worth an attempt at least! keep us updated!

sweet just need to yank the slimer out and put some good ole electric power in lol

anyway tried flying my homemade concoction today...didnt go so hot. it got a little flight but i think i over estimated the controls because even after the first crash when i turned down my dual rates it was still way too much and i ended up breaking the plane. so i think i will be stopping by hobby town to pick up some foam hobby board, a little heavier but very stiff, and try again with a little bigger
