Default Need good cheap servo recommendation

So I've got my 450X back flying and it's really locked in. I'm going back to it from some bigger helis to break through the wall I'm at with some manuvers, Much less fear of crashing. anyway I put an s9257 on the tail which is awseome. the stock servos suck so I replced them with spectum #3020, which were 25ea but i'm not that impressed.

I think MKS has some for around 50ea but thays a little pricy, what's the best 30 dollar or so servo out these days?

For cyclic servos I've had real good luck with the KST DS215MG (V2) and TGY-306G-HV. Those two are basically the same servo with different branding. Perhaps the V2 KST has made some changes to the casing, but the gears are the same. Between the two I'd go for the KST if the $5 price difference isn't a factor. For a little cheaper and lighter option some people really like the TGY-211DMH. They're all really nice digital servos with coreless DC motors.

Default Tail?

Looking at the KST for the swash....

What about the tail?

Is it possible to use the same ones?

I see these listed as tail and swash servos in many places.

Forgive my ignorance - I thought tail servos were different because they have less throw and more speed and less torque?

Or will this KST work in tail and swash?

Thanks

Yes, those KST and the TGY 306 will work in the tail as well. Lots of guys run all 4 of the same with those.

I think if you're planning to run one on the tail you better plan on running at least 6V. If your BEC can do 7V, even better. I'm running a 306G-HV on the tail of my 300X @ 7V and so far so good. It is kinda cool to have all the servos exactly the same. I've got an MKS DS95i on my 450X and that thing is super awesome, but it should be for about $90. If I ever manage to destroy it I'll try one of these just for grins.
