Default First flight without training gear

Hey guys so I crashed yesterday and replaced my blades with align carbon fiber blades and wow what a difference! the heli flies so much better! so smooth and much more responsive, I became so confident I removed the training gear and flew the heli for the first time without the training gear and was able to land successfully! good day!!!

I stopped using mine even though I should. It just taught me to plop down while landing (under self pressure) instead of learning to do it gracefully. I still have bad landings (3 sets of blades and 1 flybar in 3 days), but I have far more good than bad landings now. Not mention, they're a pain in the ass to take on and off.

Nice, glad to hear you are progressing successfully. If you are going through blades alot check out the blade bible for cheap blades you can use while still in training. Good Luck!

I am. Going to check into cheaper blades. Although the thought of having to use spacers sounds like a complete pain in the ass, but saving money is worth it. Part of the problem is the grass field I land on is not very level and nor is the grass causing a lop sided landing regardless. I will have to start landing on asphalt. Sooner or later I will be able to compensate and land level.

Default Congratulations

Small steps.

My full scale instructor used to scream at me that there are old pilots and bold pilots.
But no old bold pilots!
