Half turns with the 600 links?

Like the title says does anyone do half turns with the Logo 600 ball links.

Sadly no, they are directional ball links. Quick UK makes some rocket style links in 2.5mm though.

Before I switched to turnbuckles, I did half turns on the links by unscrewing the ball on the swash, then putting on the link from behind, then re-installing the swash ball. Now I use Lunsford 3mm x 2-1/2" Titanium Turnbuckles and Mikado 3mm ball links (stock are 2.5mm).

Like Benny said, don't try to put them on backwards, you'll crush the captured end and they may pop off in flight.

Great idea about removing the balls and then doing a 1/2 turn on the link.

I may have to use that to try and razor edge my blade tracking. It is almost spot on now but I always thought a 1/2 turn would be perfect.

I does work great, though! The added bonus is that if the link does happen to pop off, it moves toward the swash and it still captured on the ball standoff. You won't have great control, but probably enough to get the heli landed!

My Logo has 1/2 turn on one of the blade grip links also.

I'll have to see how the blade tracking is when it's finally up in the air.

Probably try those turn buckles though.

FWIW, I've been doing half turns on ball links for more than 6 years of being in this hobby. Never had a link pop off even once ever. Obviously you need to apply some common sense and check the link is not too tight or too loose that it can come off.

if anyone ever feels the need to point out that my links are backward I just tell them that's so they pop off toward the airframe rather than off completely. really though, i'm just lazy/apathetic. but at least that way there's no argument

You really shouldnt need half turns anywhere on the Mikado except for the rods going to the blade grips for tracking. If you need a half turn there, just unscrew the bolt on the blade grip and turn it around for a half turn.
