Question Anyone Try the Gens Ace 5300 30C batts in the TDR?

Does anyone know if these batts will fit. They say 63.2 mm high. But the TDR website says 60mm x 60mm packs. Does anyone have an actual measurement for the area that the packs fit into? I have a TDR on order and have been thinking about diff options for batts.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
the battery tray dimensions are exactly as specified by Jan, so these batts won't fit

Cheers, Daniel

Unfortunatelly Gens Ace 5300mAh are really too big.
The biggest capacity (which fit) i was able to find is Billowy 50C 5200mAh, 780-790 grams.
I have some on the way and one other member here ordered them too.
Every LiPo i seen was swelled over time, so i recommend max 56mm width.
One of my Hyperion packs have a problem to fit already (300 cycles on it).

A friend of mine is trying out a set of Maxxamp packs in a L600SE. Only a few cycles but so far so good.

They are pricey but seem to have a good warranty and for the c rating and mah, they are pretty light in weight.

http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-5450-222-Pack.htm

Definitely thinking of trying a set, when my TDR comes!

J.

I am using Thunder Power 65c 5000 6s packs in mine.. they fit nicely and provide excellent performance. I have some of the 45c packs from last year with >100 cycles and they still perform like new...

Did you used some spacers to make the frame wider or the dimensions of the packs are not correct?

I think there is a few mm space. Not enough for me who fly when it is 33+ Celsius
When they puff a bit

My experience with Gens Ace packs the are never the same size I have 4 6s 3800 for my Logo 600 they are all different sizes some by 1/8 of an inch. I know it make no sense but true and my 5300 do not fit in my TDR I have tried.
