Default New Bling Bling

Okay so when I first got my 500, I told myself I was going to try to keep it as stock as possible, especially since it flies so well stock.

First I got the Scorpion motor and that really made my heli one of my favorites, then the metal tail box

I kept fighting the urge to upgrade but last week, in a moment of weakness, I ordered a bunch of parts.

Here's what I got:
1. Microheli Horizontal fin mount (blue)
2. Microheli boom braces (blue)
3. Microheli main shaft bearing blocks (blue)
4. Microheli tail servo mounts (blue)
5. Align Metal control levers
6. And just received in the mail yesterday was my Kasama tail.

I know they're all unnecessary but I thought I would pamper my favorite heli!

Microheli Boom brace and Horizontal fin mount:

Microheli Main shaft bearing blocks:

Sorry no pix yet of the Kasama tail. I just installed it. It looks great next to the Align metal tail box though.

So, i am not alone :-)

I sold my TRex 450SE V2 to get T500, when i sold it i thought i ll never get a 450 again. From last couple of days i am having an itch to get a 450SE V2, i am trying my best to resist it. Lets see how long i can do that.

Thanks

I've stuck to the black and silver metal upgrades. I prefer them over plastic because the threads don't strip as easily.

The Scorpion motor DOES make a big difference. I was having fun running a high head speed with the L motor but the Scorpion holds its head speed much much better!

It's all part of the fun for me. Next upgrades for me will be the TT and the Scorpion motor. Although I gotta admit that the 500L motor is doing a very decent job compared to the 600XL and the 430XL motors for the 600 and 450 respectively.

I'm running the 3026-1600kv Scorpion motor with a 14T pinion running about 2900+ head speed. It's awesome.

There is a difference. It's I think better than the jump to the XL motors in your 600 and 450. I think it's more like going from the L motor in the 600 to the Neu 1515/2.5/d on 6s. Plus the motor and ESC run quite cool with the Scorpion motor.

Here's the picture with my Kasama tail in place. It looks good next to the Align tail box. Also, notice the CF tail boom.

There is no lateral play. That was one of the reasons I got it.

I'm getting 4 minutes of hard 3d 6s 14T pinion, putting back about 1800mA back into the batteries.

What kind of amp draw?

Man, 4 min! I just can't bring myself to get a flight of less than 5 min.

What scorpion are you gonna get ? the 1600kv or the 1400 ? because the first one will probably set you back in flight time.
