Default Radio settings

Hi guys
Getting to the radio setup stage and could use some guidance as the manual gives none.
I have a spectrum DX6i and a gy520 gyro, no gov yet as i'm not in the 3d game yet.
I could us some help with basic radio settings to get me going. I have a lot of time on 450's but this is my first nitro. ( JR FRENZY 50) os 50 engine.
You know the usual stuff, swash mix, pitch and throttle, gyro settings,dr/expo,. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Wade

All my swash mixes are 72 percent Trv adj all 100 percent. I fly a mini G gyro on gear sw and my Trvl adj are 77 norm and 75 in HH ( this is different from gyro sens.)
No gov, then add 20 percent throttle to your ail and ele.both ways( if you have the mixing capability in your radio) I also decrease throttle in left rudder and add for right.
Pitch --zero at half stick for N-STNT 1-2 and TH hold. Normal I run about- 5-6 on the bottom and +9-+10 on the top. Stunt mode you can go -10 to +10 and adjust from there depending on motor ,fuel ,etc.
As far as dual rates, I don't use any, just some expo on the tail to keep it from wandering in Fast Forward Flight.
Oh and throttle, what ever it likes in normal, and 100 (low stick) 55-60 (1/2) and 100 (high stick) Set your throttle linkage up at 100/100 travel and use the 90-90 rule.
Whatever the ball is out on the carb arm make the servo arm the same. Then whatever the distance is from center of the servo screw to the center of the throttle arm is your linkage length. Time spent here is more than worth it to get a good running motor, and simplify your pitch and throttle curves. I hope this helps, if you need clarification on anything, drop me an e-mail or PM.
