Default Ikon with Taranis and Orange DSMX Module

I'm wondering if anyone cant help.
I sold off most of my Spektrum gear and have a Taranis because I do mostly FPV and find it great for Telemery..etc.

I previously had my Ikon setup with a dsmx satellite and worked perfect.

Now with the Orange module I am stumped. I bound the satellite via an Orange rx, all lights are on and gyro initializes as if all is good. (moving the heli rusults in servo -gyro interaction) but in the software setup I cannot get the radio to interact with the software whatsoever. The orange module is capable of using dsmx and dsm2 modes... all of which I tried. Nothing works.

I am running the software on a mac (parallels) and it connects fine on the proper com port.

TIA

Do you have anything else that runs Spektrum that you can try controlling with the OrangeRX module? Just to make sure it's sending out a good signal.

I'm using an OrangeRX with my Taranis, to fly a Blade micro. It works fine. I don't remember if I changed the DSM2/DSMX settings of the module from the default.

This is a screenshot of my module-related settings in the Taranis, for use with the OrangeRX module. I saw these suggested somewhere, they appear to be working OK for me. If yours are set differently (other than maybe needing more channels), I'd try matching these just to see if anything changes.

Again, these are for flying a Blade NanoQX, nothing iKon-related. But I am able to get signals from the module to a DSM2 device.

Thanks Red.

I finally got it. I had to rebind the ikon in DSM2 mode.
I was binding to an Orange rx and forgot that I could actually use the Ikon unit to bind.

I am all set up now minus one problem.... the ESC wont arm. I assume its due to throttle endpoints.

CHEERS.

Off to do more troubleshooting!
