I am using a spektrum DX7S on my 450 pro 3gx and have to run my gain all the way up to 75 to get the tail to hold. I can go a couple points higher but then start to get wag. The DX7S has -100 to +100 in the gyro menu and my 75 is what I am showing as true gain in the 3gx software. This seems really high. Anyone else having this same problem?

I don't have 3GX, so I can't help you with that part, sorry. But how far is the ball mounted on the tail servo horn, and what servo are you using? If the ball is really close to the center of the horn, you'll need more gain, vs the ball being located further out, I believe.

Jeremy T, my Trex450 V2 pro 3gx flies pretty good with 100% throttle and the DX7 gyro gain set to 77%.
cheers....Keith

I am using the dx7s. Your gain only goes from 0 to 100. Mine is like Futaba and goes from -100 to +100. Your setting sound right giving you about 30% gain in heading hold. I am running 75% in heading hold and just don't know if it is right.

Exactly. I'm using a DX8 and I think I have my gain all the way up to 38 and occasionally get a little oscillation, but great hold on hard pitch moves.

My Gain is at 42 on the radio and the computer program shows that at about 48. I may even lower that just a bit because time to time I get shake with higher headspeeds (may just link it the flight mode switch)
