Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get a colored tail boom for my Trex 500 (Belt)? I really like the 600N tail boom.

There are no red tail booms for the Trex 500.

Making your own is an option.

I just PMed you. Where do you get these booms... Im googling, yahooing, binging and nothing... not red booms for Trex500 anywhere.

You could just cut a red 600 boom down? I would guess they are the same diameter... (but I didn't check)

Nope, the 500 boom is 15mm ID 16mm OD. The 550, 600, and 700 booms are 19mm ID 20mm OD. I thought about that at the beginning of this thread.

Hobby King will make custom colored and printed booms, what is stopping them from doing the Align logo.

There are no options other than to do it yourself unfortunately.

But I think it turned out pretty close to what the red landing tubes look like (was able to find those on eBay). I will say that sanding a tail boom down to the bare aluminum is not fun though, lol.
