Default Want to upgrade to low profile fbl head on N5C

I have a older N5c and would like to upgrade to the lower profile head. I see the head kit is available but does it come with everything? I assume you have to buy a shorter main shaft as well. Thanks for any input!

You need to use an E5 main shaft or cut your existing shaft. If you get the E5 shaft you will need to replace the bearing in the lowest bearing block to the same size as the upper two. I think Matt sells a complete upgrade kit on his website, but I may be wrong.

Thanks John, I see the part 200-412 but I think its just the head. Looked all over but didnt see a kit with the main shaft and such. I dont mind cutting the main shaft, but does anyone know how much to cut off?

It's about 10mm. If you're unsure, just insert the shaft into the head block and line up the Jesus bolt holes and see how much protrudes up into the spindle cavity.

John is correct. Cutting 10mm off the top of the shaft is what you want to do.
