Default What a Great Day

So I got my Canopy painted, mind you not a professional painter or artist. Was the first time I have ever tried to paint something. I think it Came out decent if you don't look too close.

On to what made it a great day, I decided to try to fly it. Took it out and spun it up got it in the air kinda, but kept spinning around. This is my 3rd flight mind you so I am trying to trim it (not really sure what I am doing wrong or right at this point) maybe thats the problem. Nope wasn't the problem, so I start doing some ground lessons, but kept having a problem turning it and such. So I stopped a bit frustrated, brought it inside looked it over noticed some dirt on the tail stabilizer, and then really noticed the belt looked a bit loose.

Did a search on Belt tension found what might be the problem, definately a loose belt, so I tightened it by sliding the boom out a bit.

So I got one more battery fully charged I will try this again. Took it out spun it up got it in the air and OMG i am kinda hovering it, it stayed tail in almost perfectly, a few slight stick movements when it started turning, few more movements when it went forward brought it back, when it came towards me moved it away. At least 8 minutes in the air I would guess, when finaly my Next door neighbor says, man you really know what your doing don;t you. I didn't even notice he had been standing behind me the whole time watching. I was like. This is the 3rd time I have tried to fly this and the longest its been in the air ever.

I really feel good right now, that i might be getting the hang of this.

That is a good feeling when you see your heli leave the ground for the first time. Keep it up, the smiles keep coming!
