Default Wholesaletrain.com

1 month waiting on items to SHIP.

They had all in stock apparently when i ordered, still, 1 month later, after 3 calls to inquire what the hell is the status of my order, a nice lady answers me saying she'd get back to me but after ME calling them 3 times, no updates yet.

They keep saying the order is being "processed". I even inquired to see which darn product is holding up to cancel that product's order and yet, they can't answer me...

Really looks like a scam. I'll keep you updated...

So i send them an email saying that i want to cancel, and the next day (today) i get a message saying that they want to ship the order.

What a crooked business. Calling them to make sure they don't send it!

I also had very bad experiences with wholesaletrains. I am in Canada and I sent them my order list and asked for a shipping quote. I was emailed a quote:
I am sorry that it took so long to get back to you. Shipping is going to be around 40-60 us dollars.

So proceeded to order. When I got the order there were 3 issues:

- the shipping was $90
- there were items i was charged for that i did not get
- there were many items i ordered that i did not get (backordered) and i was not charged at the time

So I called about 5 times, emailed about 4 times. I got no love. I was told that I would be credited for the items i was charged for and didn't get and the backordered items would be sent to me free shipping. there was no accountability for the $30 extra for the shipping.

After many emails/phone calls I was emailed that the backordered items would not ship to me due to the cost to them to ship them!! so i was charged 30% more than they quoted me for shipping for a list of items many of which i will never get now.

Further i had to phone yet again to get a credit for the other things. she said it would be applied today so i will check.

Very expensive and unreliable and poor communication and customer support. its just not worth ordering from. maybe if you are in the USA its worth it but outside of the USA don't bother. even if you get a shipping quote they apparently will increase it to whatever they want and charge you.

I am going to try a credit card dispute to get the extra $ back off the shipping.

Further if you google wholesaletrains you will see many other complaints.

Wow. I have no experience with these people, nor do I have any experience with shipping to Canada, but this seems completely outrageous to me. Personally I would ship the entire order back with a note telling them where they can put it, and demand a full refund...shipping and all. That is terrible. I hope all works out for you and the OP.

Here's what i did:

called my CC company to cancel that transaction. They agreed and blocked them.

Few days later, i get an email from wholesaletrains.com saying that they cannot ship my items because my CC was declined.

Told them the issue, and got a very rude reply saying it's not their fault they could not ship as my CC was declined.

What a bunch of scammers.

I never got a final confirmation that my order has been cancelled...

I just bought $23.75 worth of stuff on wholesaletrains.com

An MH Swash for mcpx2 and a CF Rod to mod my tail.

I bought from there because of the low prices.


SHIPPING WAS 13.78!! New York to Rhode Island
I will not buy from them again. I was hoping I found a gem. Twas a rock.

btw, they don't disclose their shipping fee, I had to look at a bank statement to see what it was. At checkout there is zero shipping info.
