Levelling the Swashplate
One of Ivor's setups is to level the swashplate. Other videos show using a swashplate levelling tool in conjunction with HeliBal to level the swashplate. If before doing this setup I mechanically levelled the swashplate - with the levelling tool - shouldn't it still be level?Seems to me I can skip over this step? What do you think?
Thanks, Fred |

You can only skip that stage if when FM is on the off position and the swash is level. What is true that if it was done previously then you should skip the mechanical side of the setup.

Ok thanks - after looking and looking I think it's probably best to pull the head and put the levelling tool back on - better safe than sorry.

I always do all my swash levelling by eye and never went wrong. Some find it easier than others though. Also like to add that the quality of the swash mixer in FM doesn't warrant
a head strip + levelling tool type of levelling but if it makes you happy then by all means.........
