Devo 7 or Devo 8

[Neo Blade 120]

After doing some research on vendor prices for the V120D02s I see one price with the Devo 7 and for about a hundred more the Devo 8.
Since I am new to the hobby (5 months and 10 helis) I don't know how big I'll go past the 120 size, my HK 450 scares the heck out of me and I've only got it 2 feet off the ground so far, but I like the functions of the Devo 8.
Right now I have a Dx6i for my Blades so I would want something as good or better.
The extra $100 for the Devo 8 is okay as long as it's worth it for my uses.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Devo 10 huh, I didn't consider that Tx since I was just looking at what was provided in the RTF models.
I know nothing about the Devo 10 but I'll read up some on it, thank you for your reply.

I really like my Devo 8. It has more than enough setup options for me to tune my helicopters to fly the way I want.

My only criticisms are that the screen is hard to see outside and it seems to suck the batteries dry quite quickly.

Not sure what more the Devo 10 can offer but whatever it is, it's probably too much information for a beginner like me also.

It has all the features of the Devo6 & Devo8 but is LCD like the 2801 pro plus the alarm vibrates & beeps. I have a 2801 pro & Devo8S. It kinda hard to see in the sunlight if you want to change settings I really liked my 2801 pro just had to get a Devo for the helis I want. The mini cp & V200D03. The Devo10 is upgradeable an the price is $150. If the Devo10 had come out before I purchased the Devo8S I wouldn't own the 8 now.

The devo 7 will be your basic entry level radio. The devo 6 and 8 will be a step up. The 8s would be the one to get if to can spring for it. If money is no object, the devo 12s would be the way to go, and you wouldn't need another transmitter for quite a long time. All of them will have the features you need to fly pretty much anything, but the coolness comes with the touchscreen devos and their shiny, futuristic cases.
