I have had a couple bad brand new tail servos. But I am waiting for this DS35 mount before I switch over to rotary servo tail.

I like that the servo can be moved down so you can use the standard tail servo arm. Or thats what it looks like to me.

Yes, I did have to bend the hook portion of the servo rod slightly and I used the same servo rod assembly that I've used since the heli was new in July.

So does the servo holder just clamp down on the servo, holding it in place, but allowing it to be placed, sliding up and down or does the servo have plastic tabs and screws?

It makes for a nice clean look using the original servo pushrod arm. I have seen an adapter for the connectors, so no cutting or soldering required.

The servo has slots on it that the holder mates with and then the clamping piece is screwed into place holding the servo securely. There is no movement whatsoever with this mount and the servo. The other screws then clamp down the mount to the boom after you zero position the servo to make sure there is no tail pitch when the servo is centered. If you have to change the servo simply disconnect it, unscrew the servo clamping piece and replace the servo. This is a well done part and is well made. No wiggle no nothing which helps in controlling tail wag and such.

Thanks for the reply,

I have never seen a DS35 in person, only pictures.

So the mount slides fore and aft on the boom for tail pitch adjustment like the regular one and when in position you tighten it down on the boom. Correct?

What I was wondering is the DS35 set at a certain depth in the mount or is it adjustable up and down in the mount too? It seemed like another guy with that mount for testing is using a different straight (cf?) servo arm, so I wonder if he liked his better or didn't think to slide it down more to use the stock servo pushrod arm.

Now that I think about it, a straight servo arm might be better, so it doesn't flex as much.

I had 2 new bad tail servos and my old one is jittery again.

All I was trying to do was use the mount with available parts for the 130X. The mount is preset and there is no flexibility in the location of the mount except where to locate it on the torque tube. I don't know if an additional photo will help but here is a top view of the helicopter and the servo:

Any update on this? I really would prefer Lynx over MH... but might be forced to get MH if this isn't released soon.

Thanks.

Same here. All if my upgrades are lynx so far, but I too might just go with the mh bracket.
