Default landing skids

anybody ever superglued your landing skid's back together? just curious, as long as you don't give like full negative while sitting on the ground theirs usually no more than heli weight, and usually no weight while flyin unless you hit the ground LOL which is what broke mine in the first place

I have drilled a hole in each side of the break, but CA on them, them used a zip tie and then more CA on the zip tie. They broke again, when I had a hard landing, but not in the same place.

not sure you can on a 250 but on bigger helis drill the frame out and plastic zip tie the skids to the frame, they spin off just like in Phoenix and saves them breaking and the frame doesnt break either

I put Gorilla gear from a 450. Low profile on front and high profile on rear. Jacks the ass end right up.

The tail is way close too close to the ground with the stock gear. Not to mention way too fragile. I broke a brand new set that had no flights on them when I accidentally dropped the heli from doorknob height. The gear should at least be able to handle a fall from that height.

I dont agree, that is a pretty high height to just dead drop your micro-heli.......gotta be more careful.

Working on my tail issue today, I set it down hard and broke my gear- The Gaui 200 gear works great if you drill a couple new holes! Got me back to flying so I could fix my tail!

Do it!

Broke mine and there are no replacements around... Took some 450 skids cut them down and screwed the ends off the 250 skids onto them... works really well and are insanely strong. Sorry about the horrible picture.

To jack up the tail, I used the gaui 200 tail riser shims, worked great and jacked up the tail nicely.

Another option to the small weak stock skids is a set from an Helimax ax cp,there smaller, not as wide as trex 450 skids, but higher and stronger than the 250 skids

Default Landing gear reinforcement (easy)

I've been forgetting to post about this, but I've found a decent way to protect the stock landing gear (figured this out with my Blade CP a long time ago).

Use some wire, string, floss, etc. and tie the skid tubes to each other, at the front, and at the back of the landing gear. This can help prevent the struts from spreading apart and breaking on a hard landing.

I've tried to show this in a pic with my awesome paint skills.
