Actually Sunday at midnight, we need time to print all the cards and organize all the paperwork, this year will be busy, so most of us will be setting up early.

I wanted a little more hotel (because my heli is so huge) and I found one that, according to google maps, is 20 minutes away and has full kitchen seperate living room king bed and free breakfast for 73.92 per night.

If anyone else is interested here it is.

I took a chance and preregistered. It's kind of far north for me, so if it snows, I ain't gonna be there.

I will be taking the airlines and plan to carry the helis in a golf case (batteries will be shipped separately to a fedex location) Does anyone know of problems with TSA shipping helis in the checked luggage? They are electric, no fuel or batteries.
thanks

Should be no problems in checked baggage for TSA...the airline OTOH is the side to be concerned with.

Thanks. Your help in setting up my Outrage 550 earlier this year in Daytona was much appreciated.

Default Anyone else from the Atlanta Area?

I plan to attend and am driving down from COLD frickin Atlanta. Might just try and get there early on Friday. Anyone else driving down from the ATL? (I know Mr. Botos is....LOL)..

I am still a tenderfoot but plan on bringing my camera gear too...I have the photo stuff down, just have to get used to RC and the speed of getting Helis in the shot. Got some pretty good shots at the Atlanta RC Club Heli event (even joined).

Looking forward to meeting a lot more Heli folks. Gonna bring my Gaui Quad with Camera and may even try to get some flying video.

TossinHoss,
I have a heli article accepted by Model Aviation Magazine but they need a "lead Photo." Could you help me with that? I was going to try and get a photo this weekend in Cleveland but the weather might not cooperate.

Default Parts availability

This being my first Heli event, will there be parts and accessories available from vendors? Discount prices? Looking for Trex 450 Pro batteries and blades specifically.
I did read that it will be cash only and hope to pick up a few things.

Well, depends on what kind of photo you want. Just been doing RC photos since I got my heli obsession earlier this year. I do have some good photos though,

Try my photobucket site at:
http://s97.photobucket.com/home/hoss0959

If you see one you like you are welcome to use it. If you need too, write down which image and PM me and I can send you the full size image!@!

The photos from the Atlanta RC fly in are not so hot. I was hot and very humid...my lenses fogged after getting out of my nice cool car that day. Didnt have the stuff to clean them..and it was completely overcast...(thats my excuse anyway)..!!

There should be a couple of vendors on site.

RV Parking:

Once again guys, if you're bringing an RV, you need to pre-register it now! We won't allow RV parking unless the RV has been pre-registered via our web site: http://register.torchs.org/

Registration is only open until this Sunday at midnight.

Thank you!

This is going to be an awesome event. Almost 150 preregistered pilots!!! This is going to be yet again the largest helicopter funfly in the country if not the world. Second only to the IRCHA universe of course.

Preregistration ends Sunday at midnight. Register now to get your free t-shirt before it's too late
