xBus Servos and also redundant receivers?
Is it just me that can't find them, or are there no native xBus servos on the market yet?
Also, I saw this product coming soon that says you can connect 2 recievers for redundancy. It does not appear to mean 2 satellites, but instead 2 full Rx's. http://www.jrpropo.co.jp/english/pro....php?hen=03687 How can you bind the radio to to Rx's? maybe a software update coming? |

Currently no XBus servos are available, launch of these should be throughout this year.
The heavy duty centre hub you linked to is for planks or large scale helicopter/planks. It distributes power and provides redundancy via two DMSS receivers and two battery packs. http://www.jrpropo.co.jp/english/propo/XBus/

I was asking HOW do you use 2 receivers? It looks like it is talking about full Rx's, not just two satellites. How do you bind to two separate receivers? |

It is all explained in the manual, but basically you put both in bind mode and then do the bind from the TX as per normal for a single RX. Model link will work as per normal on BOTH receivers as well.

Interesting. Which manual? Does not mention 2 Rx's in my XG11 manual that I can find.

What I meant is that the procedure as explained on page 85 is the same for multiple receivers or single receivers. You can do the test with two receivers and see that it is just as easy as with a single RX.

Thank you Vinger. I'll try it just out of curiosity. Certainly not needed for helis, but I have acquired a turbine jet bug, and redundancy sounds appealing with $10k+ in the air!!

Spektrum does the same as the TX transmits the model link data and it does not matter how many receivers you want to bind, they will all work.
Just a note, telemetry can only be transmitted from one RX sat, but the RX system will use only one RX to transmit the data.

If you link two receivers and each receiver has to have the satellite receiver connected, where does the telemetry come from ? There is an unexplained redundancy here somewhere.

It does not matter if both sats are telemetry transmitters, it depends which one has the sensors plugged into it, you will get telemetry data from the RX that has sensors plugged in. It might be advisable to use non telemetry sats on one of the receivers, I have not tested this, but will do a test and see what transpires.
