Default Diabolo updates

Minicopter have been exemplary in rushing out new bits as Gerd identifies parts that could be better

There two basic upgrade packages - check the date on your kit against the update line on the Minicopter online manual to see if you already have them.

Kit 1 consists of new dome head, zinc plated M3x18 bolts to replace the steel pan headed ones on the lateral cyclic swash ball links. It also has a spacer to go on the first shaft instead of the locking collar. There is also a new gyro CF mount plate that has countersunk bolts to present a nice flat surface for your gizmos. There are also a couple of 0.5 and 0.2mm x8 shims to preload your head up!

Kit 2 just sent out is a whole new rotor head , 12mm M3 bolts x2 and a new mast.
Gerd had concerns about the security of the mounting so has machined in a pinch collar - he also has made up slightly shorter (2mm) swash driver arms to fit more squarely above the inner swash balls. THe new mast is same as the old except for the top hole for the rotor head Jesus bolt is nearer the end - 6mm rather than 15mm. THe shaft can be changed and the spacer put on by removing the top bearing block, top 2 screws of the X cross-brace and swinging it forward - the mast comes out complete withj the main gear and the locking collar can be slid off the 1st stage shaft.

I'll post up a video in my build vids in Bob's tech room.

The collar was one of the only thing I thought (after building a TDR) that Gerd could have solved with a spacer as he has now done!!
