Default NEW SHAPE ON THE BLOCK

Oh, My, God!. I've now put my 90e Kasama Heli up for sale. The Shape flies like a dream, I can't believe how Quiet, Steady & Smooooth this thing is. I have a Kasama that ive been battling with (has a weird grinding noise), I've changed every gear, bearing, shaft ect. and it still has that annoying sound. After this little maiden on the Shape, I've made my mind up, the Kasama is out the door + I just ain't got the space for 2 700s at the mo.
There's still a few little minor tweaks to be done on the MiniV but straight off the bat the Shape just felt super AMAZING & with its lower head it seems quite fast & precise at 1900rpm. Boys, im in love
As soon as I've sorted out the wiring I'll post some pics of my new found love

I have a question, I figure I'd first post it in the shape 9.0 thread, rather than just the WTB thread...

My first question, does anyone have a spare front landing gear for the 9.0?

OR... (and this is why I posted here first)

Does anyone know where I can get one? I'm guessing readyheli will not be getting anymore shape parts in stock since the buyout... and, from what I've heard through the grapevine, freakware is going to be working on the S8, rather than deal with parts for the 9.0...

I could be wrong, since it is all 2nd hand or 3rd or 4th hand info... But, I'm almost to the point, where I would consider buying another shape heli airframe, just so I can have extra parts...

I only managed to get one flight, and had a hard landing, which I didn't think was "that" hard... but, it broke the front landing gear in the middle... Technically, I could probably fix something up to fix it... but, I'd rather have a regular part.

Anywho... If I don't get any answers, I'll just post in the main WTB forum....

Id say you can adapt another sort of landing skid onto it.

Might not look as cool but the price will be cooler!

Never thought of that... I'll have to give it a try. I certainly have enough helis to choose from...

Joe i ordered up a set of gear for the Diabolo to use on my Shape #2....they are a little wider and not exactly the same form but they will work. I had to redrill the mounting holes and they should work fine [if i really get anal i'll reform them to match the originals].

Freakware has the parts but between the time to ship and the cost almost makes it not worth it.

I've just ordered a bunch of parts for the 9.0 from Freakware & got them in about 4 days ( skid pipes & front strut included), dont know what postage time will be for you but as far I know Freakware still does everything for this heli.
BTW Breezyjr, where do you keep all those helis?

Thanks for the info... The last time I checked their website, it didn't seem like they had any parts in stock. I'll check it out.

I keep my helis in the garage (one car side of a three car garage) and the basement.. Hehe

Joe, it's made to order according to the info i got....from what i gather they have most parts in stock. I ordered a few parts for mine last wednesday, i'll let you know how long it takes for DHL to get them here once i have them in hand.

note: if your going to order from Freak you might want to concider ordering the optional counter bearing and support for the pinon [if your kit didn't come with it] at the same time, just in case you want to crank up the power

WOW got my parts today from Freakware....fastest shipping from Germany ever...under 7 days basically.

Looks like getting parts may be not as bad as i thought [although i do wish Ready could still do their thing].

Got the pinion support mounted and few other odd ball things, next step is the motor/V-Bar/set-up and this Shape will be rocking!!!!

Did you order the pinion support from Freakware? I didn't see it listed in the parts section, how did you get it? Did you email them about it? I'm looking at getting it myself as I'm gonna fit that monster quantum motor + the heliJive 120 in a couple of weeks

Yippee!

Nice one, 800 stretch. I'd love to see the actual S8 in action, I really like the look of it but going 800 would be over the top for me. Right now I'm looking at another 700, maybe the Gaui X7.

So far way more rock solid feel compared to the Goblin, the Shape feels more like a 700 while the Goblin feels like a 600 heli.
