Default Recommended settings HW 120 and a Scorpion 4525 520 le motor

My searches have turned up nothing.... I'm using the bar governor....

I just set one up with the same equipment. 4525 520LE/hobby wing 120HV/vbar gov.
Left everything default except "very soft start"

Key things:
Pwm: 12khz
Timing: 15deg(some run lower but this seems to work well)

Both the above are default if I remember right !

I'm only 15 flights into this setup and 10 were mild as I was breaking in my packs. When I pushed the Heli HARD on one flight I had what felt like an esc low voltage cut off a couple times. Still investigating this. Im still not certain it was a setup issue vs a bad solder joint or something. Just letting you know!!
But for the other flights this thing was ROCKING!!! amazing power!!

I'm getting a similar problem with the same esc motor set up on a 7hv. The gov seems to sometimes lag the disc load and the motor bogs and also I get some big over running rpm moments when the heli comes down fast! I think it's probably a rubbish gov but the 70a version on the 6hv works like a dream! I'm going to try updating the firmware.

I had the same thing happen today when my heliI (Whiplash) was pushed very hard.Telemetry on my Dx8 showed my ESC at 200 deg. I think this motor draws more average than this ESC can handle when pushed.
Scorpion I ESC bound as soon as they come back in stock.

Did you find out if you were having low voltage cutouts or temp issues?

my last setup using same setup as ur's
15deg
12khz
vbar gov 2200 rpm

what i found, good maintain on rpm, i use my old lipo pack i feel like using new lipo set, the problem is my esc going too hot.
i change my pwm to 8, esc warm after 4min fly, within 38-41º , i used back my old lipo set, i feel no power on that lipo.
i think pwm8 is suitable for my setting,
but lack of power when using old lipo
