Jlog 2.6 GW logging - where to buy??
So I bought a used jlog 2.6 and was surprised to find that it doesn't log - only telemetry. I'm really enjoying the telemetry but I read that I have to purchase an update to get it to also do logging.
Where can I buy the upgraded firmware to get logging on this unit?

I can see why they are sold out. Today was my first experience with it and i must say that i am very impressed.
I found the capacity sensor on my jlog2.6 to be more accurate that the one on my kontronik telme.

I don't doubt it.
Is there a list of what it will log? Will it do PWM off a Helijive?

PWM from a HeliJIVE: yes.
It's still fact that the ESC what provides most data is the old JIVE. at a glance

I would like to buy one but not in stock.....
Can I buy it fully upgraded so it will log data ? It will show maximum amps ? I have 4 - Power Jive 120 HV ESCs, 2 - Jive 100 LV ESCs and a Hobbywing 160 HV V4. With A Futaba 14 SG TX. Most have the R7008SB RX. Some I will have to change out. I have been installing the efuel gauge on the last three Helis I built. I want to try it with the Synergy E7SE I am building right now. It has a Power Jive 120 HV V13 with a Futaba R7008SB. It has a efuel gauge already soldered in the positive wire on the ESC. I guess I will have to get a hub to hook up the efuel gauge and the Jlog to the Rx.

Well...
As far as I've heard: New JLog2.6 are on the way to distributors/dealers. We had no 2.6 in stock because we thought that I someway will manage it to finish the successor, S32 aka JLog3. ...but because of another very huge project... Now we again made some JLog2.6 to fill the resulting gap. Sorry for that inconvenience.

Thank you. I was looking and reading up last night.
Have to wait until I get it and hook it up if I have any snags.

I just setup my first one with a Helijive and a 14sg. I would not call it easy, but this is the kind of thing thats really hard the first time you do it. It seems easy to me now though To be totally honest I was overwhelmed by all the steps needed to get the thing working. It seemed like instructions were in 7 different places. I am very bad with this kind of stuff though so if I can figure it out then anyone can. Below are the steps I would reccomend Start with the "start here" PDF. It's location is printed on the box the jlog comes in It will have you: 1. Format the sd card that goes in the unit. (This is done using the sd card website). 2.Download the correct firmware for your jlog ( this is based on the Esc and radio you are using.). You do this by putting the firmware on the sd card and then put the sd card in the jlog with that firmware. This is a one time thing and you have to take the firmware file off the sd card when you are done. /* special note here - you have to load the firmware onto the sd cards "root directory". I had no idea what that was , but it ended up being way less complicated then it sounds - it just means that you put the firmware file on the main "screen" of the sd card and not in a sub folder*/ 3. Install the jlog software on your computer. The next step I had to find out how to do on this forum. There are better instruction posted by magneto than what I am offering but here is a summary 4. You have to register the jlog as a set of sensors on your 14sg. You do this by plugging it directly into the back of your radio (I didn't even know there was a plug back there). You then go into the link-sensor menu in your radio and go all the way to the bottom and start registering sensors. Keep registering sensors until it won't let you any more. I think there was 8 of them. Before you can register the sensors though you have to do these 3 things 1. Make sure your radio is in 14ch fastest mode 2. Put your 7008sb rx in mode 2 to make both the SBUS ports active ( use youtube for this) 3. Put the jlog into a sensor register mode by clicking on the big "R" button in the software (see below) To make changes on the jlog you have to open this wierd text document file on the jlog sd card using the jlog software on your computer. The text document is just a list of a bunch of random numbers. It's called config.txt. When you make parameter changes (like motor poles or gearing for rpm) with the jlog software on your computer it changes a few of the random numbers in this document. When the jlog software loads the changed config.txt document back onto the sd card and you put that sd card back in your jlog, the changes are loaded onto the Jlog. To put the jlog into sensory register mode you have to click on this big "R" button in the jlog software (you can't miss it). This will temporarily change one of the random numbers in that config.txt file and will allow your jlog to talk to your 14sg when you plug it into the back of the radio to register sensors. This is just a one time thing you do. 5. At this point you should be good to go. Just plug your Helijive into your jlog (you already would have done this to power it in the previous steps) and your jlog into your 7008sb and setup the telemetry screens on your radio to your liking.

lets hope that there will be enough supply. So far nothing showing in stock and I know I will need a few units very soon to keep going with my fleet.

Danny,
Linus told me that R2 is waiting for the new packaging you wanted to have. At 1st: Same procedure as last year at start of the season: JLog2.x's ran out because our hope was that I will have finished JLog3 before no JLog2.6's available anymore in stock. Now on top that packaging thing. Before we made some (hundreds), sent them MHM, our European distributor.
