Default Jerky elevator servo.

So am setting up a used 500 efl pro ( nosed mine in and the airframe was toast) at the moment am using a zyx. At any rate I have noticed at least once the elevator servo failed to initialize. Today on the 2 tuning flights, it started off fine then developed an oscillation in the pitch axis. After the second flight, I worked the pitch axis on the transmitter, and the servo was clearly seeming to get stuck and then race to catch up. The zyx is one that has not been crashed and I pulled from my 550 when I put a spirit on it. I assume the servo is the issue. If I work the servo, it rotates smoothly. so sow for the question, should I pitch it, or is there any way I can rehabilitate it? It is an align ds510.

Have you are tried another servo on the same channel to see if the problem follows the gyro or the servo? I had this same problem on my zyx after I left my dx6i transmitter on an airplane model and initialized my zyx equipped 300x. I thought for sure it was the servo until I saw all my servos have this problem on my elevator channel. I was done with the zyx after that and haven't looked back. So happy I did!

If it ends up being your servo, I would pull the gears from it for spares and toss the rest..replace it with a new servo

Got around to pulling the servo this afternoon. Hooked it up to a spare receiver, and was able to replicate the bad behavior. Swapped it out for another one and all is well again. I will save it for spare parts.
