Default Tail Won't Hold on Beast???

Hi,
I took my 600E out for it's maiden with the Beast installed and was a bit baffled by the tail got it dialed in so during fast forward flight, loops, rolls, 540 stall turns it performs fantastic. Now the issue, when I go inverted tail first the tail wont hold it piros out almost immediately I tried numerous times but as soon as the bird goes upside down tail forward it falls out. Yes the gain is only a few % points below hunting in HH. I was thinking longer tail blades it has the stock ones now but it flies so well right side up and yes it will do an inverted hover it only happens when in inverted flight tail leading least wise for a few seconds. Any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary

Gary,

I just made the same conversion-took my old 600E and put a BeastX on it (with a TracX head).

The tail on mine is holding great, no matter what (inverted, backwards, etc.) so it might help to compare notes to see what is different.

I am using the stock BeastX tape (I have it on all four BeastX's and have had no problem with it at all).

Mine still has an old Futaba 9254 tail servo. It also has KBDD EE Tail Blades.

What is your heading hold setting?

Hey Ah Clem,

I am running In HH mode and using ATV at 58% if I remember right have it stuck down with 3M 4011 tape and a strap around it And it's the stock 600 ESP kit with the align servos my guess is I need longer or wider tail blades cause it only falls out in backwards inverted but I have to admit I did not try rightside up backwards flight thats to hard lol.

Gary,

You might try the KBDD EE's, I am having very good results on all my .50 sized helicopters with them.

Let us know what you find, sir!
