Beast X pitch setup question
Question:
Is it NOT OK to do pitches on a heli (not limits or moving swash up or down) but setting mid stick Zero with the gyro turned on to Fly mode.. ? Even if the heli is lying perfectly level with no movements ? Once I do that, I check my upper and lower pitch limit and it comes out as exactly identical.. BUT i noticed while flying my 600 nitro that I had way too much positive than negative.. on ground those were exactly the same. I did the zero adjustment with my gyro in "ON / READY" position.. is that gonna give me an issue?

not sure I understand what you are asking. The pitch setup is starightforward.
1. TX must have full range set on the left stock 0-25-75-100 or I use 0-50-50-50-100 2. Must do step G right. Center the servos, level the swash with servos centered with swash links, then set zero pitch at mid stick with upper swash links. I drop a hex driver through the blade grip hole and align with main shaft. The swash should be vertically centered bebwteen the head and the frame so the average swash link length needs to be the right length 3. The pitch limits are then set in step K at 0% and 100% lelft stick. No adjustments made in flying mode. only setup mode. That is the correct process. If you are not doing that, I'm unclear what you are doing.

"No setup in flight mode".. i will recheck everything.. and hex through blade grips is a great idea.. I dont know why I didnt think about that.. lol.. Thanks!

always glad to help. I can't take credit for the idea. I found it when doing research on how to get zero pitch. I like this method because like the tripod swash levelers, it uses the main shaft as the reference so you don't have to worry about table level and landing skid level. Once you know that mid stick is zero pitch relative to the main shaft, you can throw a digital pitch gauge on the blades and whatever it reads you can zero it at that point. This takes out the effect of the table and the LG.
