Any rebuild kits for this? My bird has a horrible screech and I suspect it's the motor bearings. Any other advice about the stock motor in particular?

I just had mine apart last night. I measured the bearings but will have to get back to you. If you wait too long to replace the bearings it will eat up the shaft or get a flat spot. FYI, you cannot just buy the motor shaft, you will have to replace the whole bell assy . The shaft is 6mm and tapers down to 5 mm for the pinion.

Is the C-clip the only thing holding it together?

Yep. I had a bit of trouble getting it off.

Here is a tread about the motor shaft if you are interested. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?p=6495315

I have a couple of spares that I'd let go cheap. In case it's more than just the bearing.

I wish you could buy the kit bare bones. I don't need extra motors.
