Default F3N – The New FAI Official Format For 3D Helicopter Competition

Hi,
This year first time ever F3N International Competition will be held in Europe, Europe Championship 2012 in Germany , here is a nice article about what is F3N:
http://helidaily.com/f3n-%E2%80%93-t...r-competition/

The main idea is to have 3D competition between nations , I hope AMA can take this opportunity and get the F3N format establish in the US, maybe already started ?

I also attached the FAI F3N Sport Code , Starting from page 18.

Enjoy

Not up to the AMA. It is up to modelers in this country embracing this new type of contest. Then some dedicated few will hold a contest or two and then from there see if it catches on. IRCHA could do more as the AMA Heli SIG to promote this new format.

Well, the format is almost like the 3D masters give or take, I hope someone in the US will take this one step forward.

Here's the latest Sporting Code. Can also be obtained directly from the website: http://www.fai.org/ciam-documents. Listed under "Sporting Code."

Just a quick question on the matter of f3n, Iam a newbee to this hobby and someday I hope to put my name down for one of these comps, I've seen the list of moves on the fai website and there off the wall, as a newbe is there a beginners level and what are the moves that will be required? Thanks Damo

No restrictions on FBL with F3N.

Default F3N Errors

Hi Guys

I noticed an error in the drawings - in the manouvre 9, the arrows are surely incorrect?

Pic attached.

I sent an email to FAI, but no response.

Cheers

http://www.f3c-heli.de/downloads/cat...p-a-d-programm

Text in 1.9 is stating flown backwards upright.

So you are correct as the textual description is binding, the pics only supporting.

I've flown that one often but forward.
In the older cometitions it was flown forward so i assume they took a old pic accidently.
