Don't buy ball links from Outrage - the really suck.. Way to tight!

Buy Align Trex 600 links or Quick UK links

Do yourself a favor and don't use Outrage links or balls ... get links and balls for a Trex 600

Cheers

I haven't had any issues with the Outrage ball / links, but this has me curious. Are these the correct part #'s for the suggested replacements, and if anyone has the # for the linkage rod set for the servos , please post. Thanks

AGNH60071A Align Ball Link Set are right but you dont need the the Rods ... the Outrage rods will work with the align links. I also use the Align balls HN6052 - T-REX 500/600/600N

What's exactly wrong with outrage balls/links?
I have them on my Velo, no problems at all. They were very tight, but after few tanks everything is nice and smooth

IMO the links are to hard and brittle of a material .. too easy to break ... during my build I broke three and decided to go with the Align ones because I have never had one split on me! Because of how many builds I've done and my gut feeling I decided not to chance it on something as inexpensive as a few plastic ball links. The balls are a PITA plus I have one screw sheer off in my aileron ball crank on the initial start up and had to order a new one! That too I have never seen happend on my Trex's and that's why I say the balls (screws) are crap! Rob if you feel that your Outrage balls and links are good to go ... cool! but not everyone will share that opinion with you. Now I will say this!!!! since my simple but to some people insulting tweaks/mods ... I will say this! Both my Velocity N1 and N2 are kicking the A$$ out of my two Trex 600n. Great models and now that I have what I call issues resolved. I'm not sorry I bought them!

Cheers

No, I wasn't insulted! (why would that insult me? )
I was asking because if Align links and balls are really that much better, I'll get them myself

Necessary? No. Personal preference? Yes.

lol ... Rob I wasn't insinuating that it was insulting you personally ... but it does *bother* other people that I suggest align parts on an Outrage Helicopter. To me it's just a *fix* per say for some issues that I encountered during my build, on my attempt to start up and a small crash because the tail block is not pinned properly. Like Rotor Head33 said Necessary ... NO ... Personal preference ... yes! Let me say this though ... pin the boom in the front and back! If it's an N1 drill and tap both ends ... if it's a N2 drill the front and remove/drill and install an M3 screw long enough to penetrate the boom tube or you will get a surprise! The key way at the front tube block could sheer off, mine did! Again it's up to you.

Cheers

I use an M3 tap and a M3 screw ... but I've done a Trex 700e before by just drilling one smaller hole size and letting the screw make it's own way ... I mean its only going through plastic then the aluminum boom tube. Hope this helps!

Cheers

I had a ball link break in flight yesterday which caused a boom strike and £130 worth of damage. Ive ordered the quick uk ones made of delrin so are alot stronger than the stock ones.

Awww man that just plain sucks ... I knew it was just a matter of time before someone would experience this. It is an issue and for the price of Align or Quick Uk ball links and balls ... it's not worth risking your heli, your safety or someone else's safety!

Fix her up and she'll be better then new!

Cheers
