But, if you couple it to a true tuned pipe (from Hatori) you will get the maximum power it can deliver.

YS does not publish power specs for their motors. From what I have read, the YS 120SR-X coupled with the Hatori pipe is the most powerful IC helicopter motor on the market today.

It becomes a "Ford vs. Chevy" argument at some point.

The last OS motor I owned was an OS 91HZ-PSS with Hatori pipe.
After the 2nd time the pump stopped working (and burned a hole in the piston) I converted it to the 61 E-R carb (equivalent to the OS 91HZ-R) it was okay.

But, when I changed to the YS 91SR-3DS it was "night & day" better than the OS 91HZ-R.
And, I've never owned another OS engine.
I have flown my TSA with the OS105 regulated version now. Having some issues so very limited at this point. Not so much with engine ... It has more collective than I can use at my skill level. And my other heli is OS 55 powered. Way different. My other point of comparison is a TRex (not mine) with a YS 91. It also is very good. I'm looking forward to the OS 105 powered heli being my new primary go to heli.
