Default Does anyone know the frame rate of the stock tail servo ?

Just wanted to see if anyone knows or better yet if you have a quark gyro what frame rate setting your using. I just ordered one and can't seem to find the eflrds76t frame rate info. Thanks.

Yup, I sure do know... I got it from the man, Mikel, himself...the B450 3D designer at Horizon...

1520 microsecond center pulse, 270Hz.

I PM'd him over on RCGroups and he responded right away. Great guy. I needed to know because I was installing a Spartan Quark after my stock G210 gyro died and, like you said, that servo isn't listed in the manual (or on Spartan's website).

Use setting #3 at 250Hz, which is perfectly safe for the DS76T at 270 Hz. Don't use the higher 330Hz speed because you'll probably burn out the servo. The gyro works GREAT with my stock tail servo. I have a Hitec 5084MG, but I think I'll leave the E-flite servo in for now since it works so well.

Why are you installing a Quark? Did your stock gyro die (like mine) or do you just not like the performance?

just decided to try one after seeing all the great reviews about it. When I saw the posts that they were on sale I couldn't resist. I am hoping the preformance will be better than the stock gyro. Mine has not failed or had any issues at all but it doesn't hold as solid as I would like it to. I am also still a complete noob at set up so I am trying to learn all I can.

Performance is better, assuming you can pull enough stuff to make use of it. The stock gyro is just fine for most flyer (me included) but i installed a GY401 myself. Saw no noticeable gain by doing so.

I guess if you're into fast backwards flights and insane piros, then yeah, the Quark is for you.

Although at that price, i would have snatched one too! hehe

I bought two of the $79 Quarks...because it was basically a two for one price with that gyro normally being $150+. Yeah!

Good call!

I thought of getting one but installing Beast X in all my helis, so it would be obsolete...

Yeah, I guess so. I'm not entirely sold on FBL "only" yet, so flybarred helis are still okay in my book.
